The Toast Office

The food was good, really good. Great toast, perfectly toasted and really quality bread. The maple chicken sausage patties were well grilled and yet still juicy. Eggs? Perfectly done, over easy. Good coffee and they had almond milk. The server was friendly enough but left me alone. Server was aware of and alert to my food allergies. Always appreciate that. Atmosphere is fine, comfortable but almost neutral. I liked it. Free parking lot out front. In a strip mall next to a tiny pharmacy. Would totally return.

We opted for takeout since we'd just gotten off a redeye flight and my kid was still asleep. Not sure if the extremely tepid service we received on the phone while ordering the food and while picking up the food was because of this. As for the food, we got 2 eggs bennys and a strawberry and chocolate stuffed French toast. The French toast was tasty but not very special. It's just strawberries and chocolate chips sandwiched between slices of French toast. The eggs bennys were really delicious and the eggs were perfectly poached and still runny when we got home but I found eggshells in mine. Overall, a disappointing experience thanks to the non- service and eggshells.

I had a great breakfast here with my Dad! The food was all pretty good and not too expensive. We sat ourselves and didn’t have to wait too long. Our waitress was friendly and was helpful when we asked for things. I may revise this because hopefully I’ll come back again, but I think the food could have been just slightly better. I got the corned beef hash and my Dad got an egg white omelette. We also split the blueberry + pecan + mascarpone pancakes. I would say that the home fries definitely could have used more seasoning. I loved my corned beef hash, but there was a weird hard black thing in it that I’m just not sure what it was. I didn’t try it and just put it to the side. Lastly, while I did love the pancakes, I wish the mascarpone and blueberries could have been spread more throughout the pancake instead of centralized in the middle (similar thing with my Dad’s omelette—it wasn’t super mixed together well). So small things generally on the food, but overall still a 5 star experience!

Auntie, my friend Dutch, and I went here on a Friday morning. The place was busy. (Always a good sign) Relatively small place. But the plates were not. Not small in any way. Auntie did her favorite, banana fresh toast, Dutch had hash and eggs, and I had a hash omlete. Mine was delicious. I can't speak for the others. But by the look of their empty plates, theirs was delish as well. A very enjoyable experience!
